Who are we & how can we serve you?

Financial Joy Academy (FJA) is a step-by-step program that we’ve created to help you and your family achieve Financial Independence.

It is a unique mix of courses (and Action Plans), fortnightly coaching by us and guest experts, an inspiring and supportive community of ‘Dream Makers’, and accountability.

FJA has been created to help you at all stages to take action, get practical knowledge and support to stay motivated to reach Financial Independence faster.

We achieved Financial Independence in 10 years even with the challenges that come with being First Generation immigrants.

This required a radical change in mindset, the use of creativity, and a relentless focus on Personal Development.

We have created FJA to show you practically how you can do the same but a lot faster using our experiences in creating businesses, property, investing, etc.

In addition, we will walk with you hand in hand no matter your stage of the money journey. All we need is your willingness to take action.

We are Ken and Mary

Founders of Award-winning money blog and YouTube channel, The Humble Penny. We achieved Financial Independence in 10 years aged 34. 

I’ve helped to create and grow high growth entrepreneurial business and gained experience in the investment business for over 12 years. I’m a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and hold an MBA from the University of Cambridge. I have also served as an Executive Chief Financial Officer for years and co-created multiple family businesses. I’m a First Generation immigrant.

Mary is a skilled marketer and creative with experience in everything from setting up childcare businesses to video editing to product launches.
